Smoothskin
What it is
Smooth is an outer rubber coating similar to skin, offering excellent hydrodynamics, elasticity, and fast drying, but it is more delicate than lined neoprene.
Superskin
What it is
Super Smooth is essentially a skin-like smooth surface designed specifically for pure freediving. Its most important feature, the SCS Nano Capsule, is hydrodynamics: it significantly reduces contact with water due to low friction resistance, providing 20% more glide than other rubber surfaces. This ensures nearly double descent and ascent speed compared to standard smooth neoprene. However, it is more delicate than lined neoprene.

Open-cell inside and superskin outside is the best choice for freediving, ensuring excellent body adherence and thermal retention. It is extremely soft, elastic, and fits like a second skin, but requires lubricants to wear and is more delicate.

HYPOALLERGENIC AND BIOCOMPATIBLE
Yamamoto 45 is derived from limestone composed of 99.7% calcium carbonate extracted from rock. This solves the problem of skin allergies caused by petroleum-based rubbers, which many divers suffer from.
This feature also makes it suitable for applications requiring direct skin contact or for people prone to allergies.
As part of the evolution of eco-friendly rubber, Yamamoto has also introduced sustainable recycling processes for neoprene waste, made possible by the natural origin of its materials.
